  Swimming Lessons for Years 4-6

Weeks 2 and 3 have been very busy for Year 4 to 6 students participating in swimming lessons. The hot weather certainly made the pool the place to be. Students have had fun while learning some very important water safety skills and to hone their swimming technique for the Faction Swimming Carnival. A big THANK YOU to Mrs Aberle and the swimming teachers for providing us with the lessons.

  Jarndunmunha Jumpers

Every Thursday lunch time, the Jarndunmunha Jumpers skipping group meet to learn new tricks, practice old tricks, and have a bit of fun with one another. The group, brainchild of Lissi Taylor and Hayley Aird, meets in the under covered area and splits into year groups, lead by Lissi, Hayley, and upper school student helpers Olivia Hurst, Sarah McLeod, and Tayissa Gmeiner. The leaders show students how to execute skipping skills appropriate for their level and bring all the groups together for a bit of a competition or team games at the end of the session.

Walk to School Safely Day

Walk to School Safely Day is on this Friday 20 May 2016. Students who walk or ride to school will receive a sticker from a faction captain. Please walk and ride safely by looking both ways before crossing a road, using the zebra crossing on Creek Road and wearing a helmet when riding. Encourage your family and friends to walk or ride with you to school, and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful morning weather we’ve been having. We want Tom price Primary School students to be fit, healthy and happy!
